- Hari Ke is one of the largest freshwater wetlands of North India and has also been declared a Ramsar site.
- The wetland has been providing shelter to rare species of birds and animals.
- Spread over an area of more than 250 sq km, the Hari Ke wetland came into existence after the construction of a barrage over the confluence point of the Sutlej and Beas rivers about 60 years ago.
- It is spread over Tarn Taran, Ferozepore and Kapurthala districts of Punjab.
